the coolest part of Lower Austria - W4

When Waldviertel comes to Vienna it's obligatory to go there. We spent a cosy late summer evening at Vienna's Heldenplatz with a lot of friends and delicacies from Lower Austria.

Baden - grotto - Heuriger

Ma' is on spa! We visited her at Baden and then continued our weekend journey into Vienna Woods where we toured the 'Seegrotte' near Hinterbruehl. That's an underground cave system with a large grotto located under a former gypsum mine. In 1912 the mine flooded with 20 million liters of water and became a tourist attraction. During WWII the grotto was used for production of fighter aircrafts (Volksjäger). Before returning to Vienna we had supper at an Heurigen at Perchtoldsdorf.

... and we did the Rathausplatz again!

We made it. Once in two months we did the Rathausplatz. Due to the cloudy weather the square wasn't that crowded. Like every year we enjoyed tasting different dishes as well as a couple of drinks.
