20 years AG WU @ OeH WU

On Friday a special party took place. We celebrated 20 years AG (the student's party I'm member of) being in executive powers at the OeH WU. Therefore the event took place at the 'Raiffeisen Forum' in the 2nd district. An excellent buffet was prepared and I met a lot of people I haven't seen for years.

A lot of pictures were made (you can see them here) and the party continued until 4 am. After a visit at the Schwedenplatz hot dog stand I went home.

BBQ & House Party at Reini's

Reini - the head of the computing unit at the students union - invited for a party. Years ago his parents have bought a house to renovate and sell but not much has happened since that time so Reini mainly uses the house as his own party location.


I worked on some posters as far as 6 pm and then Ben and I rushed up to the 16th district where the house is located uphill. We arrived duly for the barbecue. The last sunrays disapperad while I opened a beer and savoured a grilled bratwurst.

Due to the nightfall it was getting colder an we went inside. More people arrived and the folks started to dance. It was a lot of fun and I spent nearly the whole night talking to all of them.

Around 4 a.m. the rest of the party walked down the hill and Martina, Prinzi and I then shared a taxi to the Guertel.

I had an early breakfast at McDonalds (Chickenburger) and when I left the branch it was almost 5 a.m. so I decided to take the first subway home!

A surprise party for Wayne

Our Basketball fellow Wayne became 31 years old and therefore his girlfriend organised a surprise party. The location was close to the underground station Schweglerstrasse and as I didn't use this exit before I had to climb let's say 1,000 stages :-(.

Georg was responsible for the gift so he brought a bottle of fine Russian Vodka!

Later on I proceeded to the Guertelbraeu to meet Hannes, Dave, Reini and Heimo. A decission was made to go to the Chelsea where I stayed until 4 am.

The summer term ski trip to Zell

Twice a year we go to Zell am See and thus it was time to do so (see also: Dec 2006). The alp called! Luckily there was a cold snap two weeks ago and they got fresh snow. Therefore we needn't go to the glacier. We spent all three days at the Schmittenhoehe and every day we tried another hut for lunch.


As I am a 'soup tiger' I had the chance to try soup with liver dumplings, soup with strips of pancake and soup with tyrolean speck dumplings ;-)


Bright sunshine made this spring sun skiing an great experience in alpine nature. Even a slope to the dale was open!
In the evening we first relaxed at the sauna and after dinner we entered the apres ski world.

I enjoyed this three days much. Hopefully it wasn't the last trip to Zell am See!
