in the Bohemian Forest

Last weekend we spent a night in the Bohemian Forest. We borrowed a cabriolet and went to Upper Austria close to the Bohemian border. After a relaxing day, a nice dinner and an idyllic bonfire evening we returned to Vienna by crossing the Czech Republic and a short visit to my mum.

a trip to Poysdorf

This summer the Lower Austrian state exhibition takes place in Poysdorf and in Aspern. In Poysdorf it is dedicated to ‚Wine’. Last Saturday we took our German friends and visited the exhibition which was followed by a gusto festival in the lane with the wine cellars on both sides.

We headed to Krems and had a romantic and excellent dinner in the wineyards among the shades of the ruins of castle Senftenberg.

a Weekend at Must Quarter

To celebrate the birthday of the mother-in-law, to keep a promise we gave granny and to check the location we chose for our wedding we went to Must Quarter and had a beautiful weekend there.

Rock@Arena

It’s been time for an alternative rock concert. We went to the ‚Arena’ – an event area that is close to our home – for a ‚Smashing Pumpkins’ concert with special guest ‚Bush’. Time to remember long bygone times.

a new rooftop in the town

During the summer months the late opened Ritz-Carlton Vienna offers a rooftop bar with a great view. We took a look at it, had a drink and enjoyed the vista.
