Water

On the holiday weekend we tried canoeing on the river Vltava in the Czech Republic.

We started early on saturday morning. Due to the bad weather conditions the girls denied their attendance. When we arrived at our proposed starting point it rained hard. So we decided to do sightseeing. We started with the monastery in Vissy Brod, followed by the embankment dam that creates the big Lipno reservoir. Afterwards we headed for Cesky Krumlov. We checked in at the campsite and spent the afternoon with visiting the picturesque Old Town and Castle of this World Heritage Site. In the evening we grilled klobassa sausages in front of our tents.

The next morning the weather looked better. We packed our stuff and drove to Vissy Brod. We arranged for a canoe for three and off we went. After 800 meters we came to the first weir and that - of course - was our first meeting with the bottom side of our boat (three more to come).

We canoed for nearly 5 hours and a distance of 21 kilometers to Branná. During our ride we had two breaks for cold drinks and around 3 pm a bus brought us back to our car. Even tough I got a little sunburn and muscle ache it was a really good trip.

Harald B. in: The incredible Mr. Kult is going to become 30 years of age

We met for dinner at an Aussie pub to eat some grashoppers. Later that evening Kult celebrated his 30th birthday and therfore he invited to a pub in the 9th district. We had some pitchers and completed the night at the 'Stadl'!

Trip to Stockerau

KW and his girlfriend Doris invited me for a barbecue evening on thursday. So I rushed out of work, crossed the city, jumped in the train and of course sweated.

KW served delicious spareribs rounded off with awesome dressings prepared by Doris. After spending an amiable evening I took the last train back in town.

A powwow

Last weekend I was at Bruck/Mur, Styria, for giving a workshop. It's been about 70 people attending different lectures. On Saturday evening a barbecue was held at the alp. For my way home I decided to go via the Magna Mater Austriae.
