Silt in the City

Some new event location in town that has to be tried. They call it 'Sand in the City' and it is located at the area of the Viennese Ice Skating union (!).
The air of it was like a combination of the festival at the town hall square and the Hermann beach bar. Although it was very hot, the beers flew like water. It's a nice and cozy event that - sooner or later - is worth to visit it again.

Every man is a pyromaniac, isn't he? Therefore it was time to start a fire – a large one! But first it was barbecue time! First use the fire and then - when dawn starts - let it grow! A location was needed and nothing was better qualified for the fire as the fishpond of Max's father.

I drove down the field path in such a way as to scare my mom and arrived right in time for the beginning of the sausage grill. Christoph donated the event with a salmon trout that was well done by Max.
So putting all together the sauces, the sausages, the meat, the salmon trout, the roast potatoes and the salad would have made a huge bowl of mud but we ate civilized and – for sure – with knife and fork ;-) Having a couple of beers the BBQ expired around midnight!

Handing Over Festivity

Saturday night the handing over festivity took place. This time they have chosen a well known irish pub in town – the Charlie P's!

There was no classical buffet but the service placed chicken wings and grilled wiener as well as potatoe wedges and dips on every table! *mmh*

I had a pint of Kilkenny and Ben – the to be relieved head of the students union – invited me for a glass of the finest whiskey!

Later on it was time for the old board to hand over their 'access all areas'-keys to the new elected pates! Speeches (watch out video) were done and gifts were handed over and for thus it was a 'booze flowing' jollification and ended up early in the morning at 'Cafe Benno'! (Click for more pictures!)
