Phat skiing weekend with some mishap

It's been time to close the skiing season. A good possibility to do so was the BN summer term trip to Zell am See that took place last weekend. Thursday after work I took the train to Salzburg. With a small delay I arrived at the hotel at 11.30 pm and decided to have a nightcap at the disco to prepare for the days to come.

The next morning half the way to the tracks I realized that I did not have any skiing gloves with me. That never happened before, I'm getting old. When changing from the first gondola to the second I hopped into the sports store and bought some new one. Although the sun was not shining in the morning it's always necessary to use sun protection in that altitude.

That's what I wanted. Unfortunately my sun creme decided to transform herself into two different aggregate states – a big hard clump inside the tube and a diluted oil coming out. Huh? This time I did not buy, I only borrowed some sun cream (I did not realize that it had only SPF 6 so I got a red nose during the day). Nevertheless the skiing conditions were great and the snow was excellent. But somebody has stolen my flip-flops out of the 'skis stable' what obliged me to go again on a shopping tour to buy some new footwear (by no later than the next day I would not have had any more shoes if that happens every day).

Thankfully the first day was the most cheesy and the following days were one after another topped by bright sunshine, great skiing and amusing après ski up the mountains as well as in the hotel at the 'Enzian-Stub'n'. Monday – the last skiing day – was also 'the day of the cows'. Our friends in their cow costumes started the après ski even before noon. After a last cool skiing day I seized the chance to go back to Vienna with Sabine in her car. Cool weekend!
