Turn of the year at PARTYslava

Another New Years Eve outside Austria!

This years destiantion was Bratislava after Poland, Hungary and Czech Republic the years before!

I booked 'wonderful' hotel Kyjev close to the city center. It was a 15 floors high building - without a 13th floor - right behind the big Tesco supermarket, with charm and style of the very 80s (carpets, plush, etc.) in every corner!

Georg and I used the 30th for sightseeing and beer tasting. We had an interesting lunch at 'Happy Kebab' where I got the kebab for free - nobody knows why?!? In the evening we tried the Slovak cuisine at 'Slovak Pub' (with a low price beer way beyond tastefulness).

Next day - last day of the year - we went to the castle but it was thus foggy that we barely could see the towers of it. At the Christmas market close to the danube we had kind of a cutlet roll and white hot wine (they don't serve red one?!?) for lunch.

In the evening Hannes arrived from Vienna and we decided to go to the 'Sparx'! We stole a reserved table for an hour having dinner and afterwards we went to the city center for the fireworks at the danube shore. Strangely enough they played organ music of a dark, gothic panache around midnight!

We went back to the 'Sparx' and stayed there until half past four am.
